Boğazkere is a prestigious grape variety of Anatolia, known for its strong tannins, deep structure and good aging potential. In 1995, Kavaklıdere was the first producer to represent it as a premium varietal wine (in the Prestige brand), with respect to its stylish character.

The grapes grown in Diyarbakır vineyard, were harvested early in the morning by hand, gently processed and then matured in 225 L used French oak barrels for 9 months, has a potential to develop in the bottle due to its complex aromatic character, high level of tannins and full body.

It is best when served at 17°-18°C and perfectly matches with T-bone steak, spicy and sauced red meat dishes, grilled beef tenderloin, kebabs and strong cheeses.
